The Portuguese National Tourist Office launched a program that provides a list of several criteria and good practices defined in order to comply with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the General Directorate for Portuguese Health (DGS) for the tourism animation industry in order to avoid contamination of spaces, infections and mitigate epidemiological evolution with SARS-cov-2 (new coronavirus).

This program aims to obtain the Guarantee Seal - Clean & Safe for the industries that develop and apply the internal protocol where they define the necessary prevention, control and surveillance procedures in order to guarantee maximum security to our customers and employees in all our activities in the prevention and control of COVID19, in order to solidify the confidence and security when choosing a tourist entertainment agent to carry out activities on your holidays in Portugal.

Endless Weekend Tours® received its guarantee seal - Clean & Safe in May 2020. 

THE COMPANY ENSURES

That our facilities and vehicles are subject to the following procedures:
  • Cleaning, several times a day, of surfaces and objects in common use (including counters, light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles) and recorded on the sanitation registration sheet of the common space.
  • Cleaning and disinfection, whenever possible of the surfaces where employees and customers circulate or were in contact, ensuring the control and prevention of infections and resistance to antimicrobials.
  • Sanitation or disinfection of the establishment daily after the closure of the establishment through the treatment of indoor air and surfaces with ozone, using an Ozone Generator, always with technical control (Audit, Maintenance, Analysis and Control) and recorded on the hygienization record sheet of the common space.
  • Hygiene or disinfection of the vehicles after each activity, through the treatment of indoor air and surfaces with ozone, by means of Ozone Generator, always with technical control (Audit, Maintenance, Analysis and Control) and registered in the hygienization record sheet of the means of transport used in the activities.
  • Main and secondary establishment doors kept open so that the air circulates and the handling of the door handle by customers and employees is avoided.
  • Vehicles ventilated regularly, to encourage the renewal of the air inside them.
  • The bucket and mop for the floor are cleaned and disinfected at the end of each use. 
  • Cleaning the store floor is performed with hot water and common detergent, followed by disinfection with bleach solution diluted in water. The cleaning frequency will be at least 2 times a day.
  • Compliance with internal protocols of hygiene and safety by partners involved in the activities.
  • Decontamination of the isolation area, whenever there are positive cases of infection and reinforcement of cleaning and disinfection whenever there are patients suspected of infection, especially on the surfaces frequently handled and most used by it, as indicated by the DGS and recorded on the registration sheet created for this purpose.
  • Waste storage produced by patients suspected of infection in a plastic bag that, after being closed (eg with a clamp), must be segregated and sent to a licensed operator for the management of hospital waste with biological risk.

THE COMPANY HAS AND PROVIDE

  • Vehicles with maximum occupancy limited to 2/3 capacity, according to the recommendations of the DGS.
  • Access to the inside of the store by customers limited per m2, according to the recommendations of the DGS.
  • Ozone-Generating equipment, portable that according to the World Health Organization (WHO) is the most effective disinfectant for all types of microorganisms, including the Corona Virus.
  • Dispensers of alcohol-based antiseptic solution or alcohol-based solution available near the entry / exit points of our facilities and in our vehicles, so that whenever justified, participants can wash their hands during activities. This measure does not exclude the recommendation of each participant to be accompanied by a personal sanitiser.
  • Vehicles equipped with acrylic dividers, between the front seats and the rear seats to guarantee more protection for our customers and at the same time for driver-guides. That way customers can only sit in the rear seats.
  • Non-contact digital infrared thermometers in the establishment and in vehicles so that, whenever necessary, our employees can measure their own or customers' body temperature whenever they request it.
  • Personal protective equipment (Depending on the functions to be performed: Social Masks, Visors and Latex Gloves for individual protection), in enough numbers will be made available daily to all our employees, whether in store attendance and / or in activities.
  • Social Masks and Latex Gloves individual protection, which will be made available individually to all customers at the beginning of each activity, does not exclude the recommendation of each participant to be accompanied by their own personal equipment.
  • Distribution information, within the scope of activities, in digital / online support where it is available at: https://www.endlessweekendtours.com/project-page.
  • Cleaning supplies stock single use proportional to its dimensions, including single use cleaning wipes, moistened with disinfectant, bleach and alcohol at 70º, both in its facilities and in its vehicles.
  • Waste container, with non-manual opening at the entrance of the store and plastic bag.
  • Plastic garbage bags reinforced and easy to close Ecobag type, in store and / or vehicles.
  • Sanitary facilities with hand washing equipment with liquid soap and paper towels, although these are in common use with the other tenants in the Shopping Center where we operate.
  • Carlos J. S. de C. e Sousa, it is the employee responsible for triggering the procedures in case of suspected infection (accompanying the person with symptoms to the isolation space, providing the necessary assistance and contacting the national health service).

CUSTOMER INFORMATION

All customers received information at the time of booking about where they can access our Internal Protocol for the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, which is available at: https://www.endlessweekendtours.com/project-page. The internal protocol of the procedures to be followed by our store customers and / or Activities, related to the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19 consists of the following procedures:
  • Covid-19 Symptoms: If you experience any symptoms that may be suspected of being infected with Covid-19, you should not visit our store or participate in the planned activity and should contact the SNS - 808 24 24 24 - directly by telephone.
  • Sanitation of hands: We ask that you do hand hygiene when entering the store with the alcohol-based product that we make available at the entrance. During our activities, whenever justified and if necessary, we will provide the possibility for participants to wash their hands with alcohol-based products, such a measure does not exclude the recommendation of each participant to be accompanied by a personal sanitiser.
  • Social Conduct: We ask that you suspend the initial and farewell greeting, in the traditional way, with the employees of Endless Weekend Tours®, any and all behaviour that is considered risky by DGS, should be avoided by the participants.
  • Social Masks: We recommend the use of social masks and / or alternatively the use of visors, as advised by WHO and DGS, both when travelling to our store and participating in activities.
  • Safety Distance: We recommend that inside our store or during activities, try to maintain, whenever possible, the social safety distance according to DGS recommendations - between 1.5 and 2 meters.
  • Payment options: All of our services or activities will be paid for at our online store or locally, they should preferably be done through credit or debit cards with Contactless, alternatively the participants will have to have the respective amount in cash. Any behaviour that is considered risky by DGS, should be avoided by the participants.
Customers who do not comply with the points of the internal protocol described above, and question their safety and health, as well as that of the group, may be invited to leave the store by our employees or the activity by the driver-guide of Endless Weekend Tours ®.

THE COMPANY ENSURES COVID-19 TRAINED EMPLOYEES

All employees received specific information and training on the internal protocol for the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. The internal protocol of the procedures to be followed by our store employees and / or Activities, related to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak consists of the following procedures:
  • Sanitization of hands: Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use disinfectant, made available to them, for hands that have 70% alcohol, covering all surfaces of the hands and rubbing them until they are dry.
  • Respiratory label: Cough or sneeze into the flexed forearm or use a tissue, which will then be immediately thrown away; hand hygiene always after coughing or sneezing and after blowing; avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.
  • Social conduct: Change the frequency and form of contact with customers, avoiding (when possible) close contact, handshakes, kisses, shared jobs, face-to-face meetings and sharing of food, utensils, glasses, and towels.
  • Daily self monitoring: Measure body temperature twice a day and record the measurement value and time, check for cough or difficulty breathing. If you experience any symptoms that may be suspected of being infected with Covid-19, you should not go to work or participate in the planned activity and should contact SNS - 808 24 24 24 - directly by telephone.
  • Comply with the guidelines of the General Health Directorate: Make constant cleaning and sanitation on surfaces and equipment where they or customers have contact with the products made available by the company for this purpose.
  • Clothing: Daily washing at high temperatures of the clothing used in their store occupations and / or activities (around 60ºC).
  • Covid-19 symptoms of clients during activities: During the course of the activities, in case of suspicion of infection or symptoms on the part of the participant, the guides-drivers of Endless Weekend Tours®, will provide the necessary assistance and activate the possible precaution and control means to avoid risks of contagion, ensuring the patient and group health.
  • Equipment cleaning and hygiene: Our driver-guides should frequently disinfect the interior and exterior door handles of the vehicles and the steering wheel with an alcohol-based solution or disinfectant wipes.
  • Aeration of equipment: Between stops in the activities, our driver-guide will open the windows to renew the air inside the vehicle.
Over the next few months, Endless Weekend Tours® will comply with all general recommendations provided by WHO and DGS, affirming its commitment to respect the health of each one of us.
